Summer Break, New Music
This summer, we’re taking things a little easier than usual. Fewer gigs, although the end of August into September is looking busier, and more time to write. It’s great to have a bit of space to sit and think and make.
I’m spending time listening to the latest album from Hope & Social, and looking forward to seeing them at Greenbelt over the August Bank Holiday. If you will be there, go and see their set. It should be a real highlight of my weekend, alongside a very decent list of performers, speakers, artists and artistes of a myriad types and media.
When I’m not listening to music I already bought, it’s back to cruising bandcamp looking for something new, and enjoying that freedom of independent music. Speaking of which, the label I signed with only a couple of months ago is going from strength to strength. It’s a beautiful thing to see.
I’ve decided to start looking at solo gigs again, after a few years not doing much. Firstly I need to get my gear checked and road worthy, but feel free to get in touch if you want me to play for you.
Enjoy the sunshine, for as long as it lasts.
