places to go; people to see
Here is a list of suppliers, associates, musicians and educators who I've had dealings with and whom I would heartily recommend. Either click the link or the image to be taken to their websites. Don't imagine for a minute there's any kind of order here. If you want something in particular, use your browser's search function.

I use Sibelius version 4 to score my music, and the Scorch plugin to display it online. Unfortunately, I use an Intel mac, so the software runs slowly, but Sibelius have promised that the next edition will be suitable for all macs. Information on all their products is available on the Sibelius website.

My computer is a mac, and I'm very impressed with it. The software runs smoothly, and the hosting provided by .mac is superb. Details as always if you follow the link.

I should link to the University which shaped me, more specifically the department, which is quite excellent. Ladies and Gentlemen, the University of Wolverhampton Music Department.

I should definitely link to Aldridge Parish Church. The work I do as pianist and singer within the church community drives the other creative side of what I do that has no immediate sacred context. In some respects they're of the same provenance. We're a very welcoming group of folks.

The Serenata Winds are a fantastic wind quintet who are based in the Midlands. I'm very grateful to them for doing a workshop and performance in Wolverhampton in 2006 which allowed me to sharpen my skills in writing for small groups.

I use Firefox browser to surf, select and spend. While I use other browsers to check compatibility issues for this site, and the like, this is far and away my favourite for everyday use.

I get lots of sheet music and books from George's Music Store, becuase he's local and doesn't charge a fortune. Plus, they make a great cup of tea.

GroupsaX (also known as the Elysium Quartet) are a group of musicians who know how to pun with impunity. Check out their site if you're interested in up-to-the-minute saxophone music.
